5 Ink Brands I Want To Try

A while ago I did a post about the fountain pen brands I still wanted to try, and thought it might be fun to do the same thing with ink brands. Because, whilst my ink collection has grown a lot recently, there’s still plenty of interesting looking brands out there that I haven’t yet explored.

These are the five at the top of my list:

KWZ

KWZ looks to have a lot of interesting and unique ink colours, and I also think their prices look very reasonable for 60ml bottles!

The shades I’ve particularly got my eye on are Berry, Old Gold, Green Gold and Brown Pink.

Colorverse

As someone who’s recently started to experiment with more shimmer inks, Colorverse seems like a brand I should check out. Some of their ‘glistening’ inks definitely look interesting, but I also like the look of a few of the standard shades in the Joy in the Ordinary series, namely Brunch Date, Walk the Dog and Delicious Sleep.

Dominant Industry

I don’t know what it is with different ink brands calling their shimmer inks by different names, but I like the look of some of Dominant Industry’s ‘Pearl’ range of inks, as well as a few of their standard colours. The main shades I have my eye on are Evening, November Leaves and Winter Pine.

Tono & Lims

These inks are a little hard to come by here in the UK, with the bigger pen retailers like Cult Pens not seeming to stock them. I have seen them available to buy in the UK from Art From The Heart though, or they can be ordered from Stilo & Stile in Italy.

They definitely seem to have a lot of interesting and unique looking shades though, and the main ones on my radar are Maccha Mousse, Financier and Space Telescope. I also love their little square bottles, with the cute illustrated labels!

Lennon Tool Bar

This is another brand that doesn’t seem to be stocked here in the UK, but that I’ve been eyeing on Stilo & Stile. I know they have some very popular inks like Sesame Oil, that I would love to try, but I also have my eye on Aunt Tiger, Pen Fairy and Madagascar Almond.

So have you tried any of these brands, and what do you think of them? Any recommendations? And what are some of the ink brands on your list to try?

I hadn’t realised they also stocked Lennon Tool Bar! That’s good to know. I’m definitely going to have to put in an order soon! 🙂

I have several KWZ inks. Except for the one that smells like coffee, their inks have a distinctive smell. Some say it smells like vanilla, but I don’t think so. I think it smells like marshmallows. My favorite of the ones I have is El Dorado. It’s a great shading ink in oranges and yellows.

I also have a few Lennon Tool Bar inks, and it’s interesting to me that the bottles are different shapes.

I want to try Tono & Lims, too.

I have exactly two Dominant Industry bottles of ink. Neither is from the Pearl series. Both are shades of teal. (I want all the teals.) I will probably be buying more. I love how distinctive their bottles are.

I’ve also just started buying 3 Oysters inks and like them very much as well.

I like the sound of ink that smells like marshmallows! That’s made me want to try KWZ even more!
That is interesting about the different bottles Lennon Tool Bar have. I’ve mainly just seen the rounded ones, so I’m curious to see what other bottles they do!
I’m also a fan of teal inks! My favourite at the minute is Diamine Aurora Borealis.
And 3 Oysters is another brand I haven’t yet tried! I’ll have to have a look at some of their shades and add them to my very extensive ink wishlist! 😀
