This month has been a very busy month for me! I’ve had all sorts going on socially, plus I landed a new job, and so I’ve been getting prepared for that. As a result, I haven’t had as much time to use my stationery as I’d have liked in September.
That’s why most of my ‘Most Used’ pens in September have been a couple of trusty favourites: my Platinum #3776, and my Pilot Decimo.
The Platinum is back to being inked with Diamine Jet Black, after its brief foray into colour. I always use it in my journal, and since I’ve recently been introducing some decorative elements into my journal, I needed an ink that would go with anything.
The Pilot Decimo has mostly been used for quick note-taking, and is still inked up with Pilot Iroshizuku Kosumosu, which I’ve been enjoying. I might stick with this combination for a while!

The other pen I’ve been using the most this month is the newest addition to my collection, which I talked about in this post: the Scribe Pens White Pearl Diamondcast pen. This is such a beautiful pen, and it’s so frustrating that it’s so hard to capture just how pretty it is on camera (it always just looks flat white, when it has a subtle sparkle, as well as a pearlescent sheen!). It’s currently inked with Diamine Golden Honey, an ink I haven’t used in a while, and I’m loving this combination.

The Empty Notebook Project
In my recent post on notebook hoarding I announced that I was doing something called ‘The Empty Notebook Project’. Since I found out I had a shocking 58 unused notebooks in my possession, I decided I needed to start reducing that number, and that’s what The Empty Notebook Project is all about!
So far I’ve been pretty successful, and it’s only been a few days since I started the project!
Step 1 of my plan to reduce the number of unused notebooks I had was to stop buying notebooks, and so far I’ve resisted (despite some temptation in Rymans the other day…I should never have gone in there!).

Step 2 was to reduce the collection from the start, by getting rid of any notebooks that I didn’t want anymore, and that was also a success! I gave my niece 11 notebooks, and I had 2 more that were a little mangled from storage, so I removed the paper to use as scraps, and then threw the damaged covers away. So I’m already down from 58 notebooks to 45!
I expect the decline to slow down from this point on, as all of the remaining notebooks are ones I intend to use at some point. But I’m still pleased with my initial progress!
So how has your September been? What have been your most used pens and inks this month? Are you a hoarder of unused notebooks too?
