This month I felt like I finally had more time to spend with my pens and inks, thanks to my house move being over. I also had a week off work in the middle of the month, which helped!
The last few days of April also ended up being quite an exciting time in my pen life, as I went to my first ever pen show, and also received the first handmade pen I’ve ever ordered. I won’t be talking about either of those things much here, since I intend to do dedicated posts about them this week, but it’s been very exciting!
So what pens and inks have I been using most throughout April?
My main ink choice has been kind of boring, as I’ve continued to have both my Platinum #3776 and Majohn A2 inked with Diamine Jet Black. These are two pens I use daily, the A2 commonly being used for writing quick notes, and the #3776 being my journaling pen.
I’ve also got back to working on the first draft of my fantasy novel project. I switch ink colour and pen every two chapters, and this month I finally switched from Diamine Meadow in my TWSBI Eco Persian Green to Diamine Peach Haze in my TWSBI Eco Creme and Rose Gold.
I’ve also been having a bit of a Lamy moment this month, as I’ve been enjoying using my two Lamy Safaris in Strawberry and Cream. I have Strawberry inked with Diamine Passion Red and Cream with Diamine Sepia, and I’m loving these pen and ink combinations!
And the final pen I’ve been using a lot in April is a pen I haven’t had inked in a while: the Hongdian Forest Rainbow pen. I don’t know why it’s been so long since I inked this pen, as it’s such a great little pen, especially for the price. It writes beautifully, and I love the iridescent effect it has!
I currently have it inked up with Diamine Ultra Green, as I think that goes nicely with the iridescent colours. I really need to do a full review of this pen soon!
So what have your most used pens and inks been in April 2024?
