I absolutely adore Kaweco Sport fountain pens: they’re small, lightweight, comfortable in hand and extremely portable. There’s just one big problem with them: THERE’S TOO MANY CUTE COLOURS AND I WANT THEM ALL!!!

I already had more Kaweco Sports than I’d intended to buy, and then Cult Pens went and announced their new exclusive edition, out in December, that wasn’t just transparent and silver, but also SPARKLY! There was absolutely no way I was going to miss out on this pen (especially as I wasn’t into fountain pens when they released the gold sparkly version), so I snapped it up with an extra fine nib and waited excitedly for it to arrive. 

In a way I was slightly disappointed though that I’d already bought the other Cult Pens Exclusive Kaweco Sport in Apple Green, as you could buy the pair together in a nice gift tin, but I’m still really glad to own the two of them, as they’re both spectacular colour choices. The transparent silver one might just be my favourite Kaweco Sport I own though, as it really is a showstopper!

It’s only slightly transparent, and is a beautiful, glossy silver, flecked with sparkles. Somehow the Kaweco and Cult Pens logos still stand out against the body of the pen, despite also being silver, and the matching nib and cap detail really finish off the pen.

I always think the Kaweco Sport is such a cute little pen, but for me, this edition is something really special, and I’m glad to have it in my collection. Like my other Kawecos it’s a nice, smooth writer, although the extra fine is perhaps not as fine as some other pen brands. I know a lot of people say they have trouble with the consistency and quality of Kaweco’s nibs, but I’ve personally never had a problem with any of them, and this silver one is no exception. I’ve been using it every day since I got it, and I’m absolutely loving it!
