March seems to have flown by! I’ve been really busy at work, so don’t feel like I’ve had the energy to do much outside of it. I’m looking forward to April though, as I have a few plans for my birthday, which is in the middle of the month, and of course, there’s the Northern Pen Show on April 26th. 

In terms of stationery, March has definitely been more of a refresh month, with a lot of pen cleaning! So let’s talk about that first:

Fountain Pens

Because I tend to have so many pens inked at once, some end up staying inked for months at a time. So I decided in March to start cleaning out some pens in small batches. 

The most recent batch included my Kaweco Art Sport in Hickory Brown, the Opus 88 Koloro in Amber, the Nahvalur Voyage Pride 2024 and my TWSBI Eco Matcha Green. So far I haven’t reinked them. I am trying to have less pens inked in general, so that I’m actually getting through my ink fills, but it’s tough when I like to have a lot of colour options! 

Notebooks

I’ve been working a lot this month in this B5 composition notebook. I got a pack of 3 of these from TK Maxx ages ago, so I can’t remember what the brand is. But I really liked this style of notebook, and the pink check pattern is really cute!

The paper in it isn’t great quality, but doesn’t bleed too badly with fine nibs. And I don’t mind too much in this, as it’s just my ‘thinking’ notebook, where I think out writing ideas. It tends to be quite rough and scrappy, which is why I’ve used a cheaper notebook for this purpose. 

Other Stationery

I reviewed the Luddite Bendy pen case this month, and whilst I had some issues with it, overall I liked it, and am still enjoying using it. I currently have it housing some pens that are inked and don’t fit in my pen box, but now I’ve cleaned out some pens, I could move them into there. I kind of like them in this cute pen case though!
