I know February is a shorter month anyway, but it really does seem to have passed by in a blur. This year is already fast disappearing, and I still haven’t quite got my head around it being 2026!
It’s been a decent month though. February and March tend to be the busiest months at my work, so that’s been a bit stressful. But I’ve been enjoying my downtime, reading lots of books and getting back into Animal Crossings New Horizons after the 3.0 update in January. And of course, I’ve been having fun with stationery!
As always, let’s talk about fountain pens first:
Fountain Pens

My favourite fountain pen of February 2026 was my newest acquisition, my Scribe Pens Unicorn Nugget pen that I spoke about in this post. I still haven’t gotten over how stunning this pen is, so it’s rarely left my hand since!

I still have it inked with Pilot Iroshizuku Kosumosu, but I think that’s starting to run low, so I’ll probably switch to a different colour in March.

I’ve also inked up my Transparent Purple TWSBI for the first time in a while. I have a real soft spot for this pen, as it was my first TWSBI Eco, and only my third ever fountain pen. I’ve inked it up with what may be my all time favourite ink, Robert Oster Cosmic Swirl, and have been using it in my writing commonplace book, which I’ll talk about in the notebooks section.

Notebooks
I’ve continued to use all my daily notebooks throughout February, but I’ve also revived my writing commonplace notebook, which I’ve been neglecting for a while.

This is a purple softcover notebook from the Moderno brand found at WHSmiths here in the UK (or T.G. Jones as they’ve now renamed it, but the chances of me ever remembering to call it that after a lifetime of WHSmiths is low!), with cream dot grid pages.
This notebook is where I keep any information on writing that I need easy access to, so plot structures, trope lists and breakdowns, story analysis, and notes I’ve taken whilst reading writing craft books or listening to podcasts.
I’ve started watching Brandon Sanderson’s writing lectures on Youtube, and have been taking notes, which is why this notebook has seen a lot of use this month. If you’re at all interested in writing fantasy I really would recommend these lectures, and Brandon Sanderson’s Youtube channel in general.
Other

In other stationery news, I’ve continued to try out my new Pilot Juice pens, and my opinion of them remains the same as when I reviewed them. I like them, but they aren’t my favourite.

This month I also bought this cutting board from Hobbycraft. I don’t do a huge amount of cutting with a craft knife that would really require a board like this, but I thought it would be handy as a wipeable surface for when I’m painting or collaging. I really do need to stop ruining my desk!
So how has your February been? What have been your stationery favourites of the month?
