In the second part of my Stationery Favourites 2025 post, I’ll be looking at my favourite notebooks of the year, plus pencils and stationery accessories. But let’s start with the all-important notebooks:
My Top Notebook of 2025
Too many of my most used and most loved notebooks of 2025 were the exact same as last year, namely Stalogy and Field Notes. So I decided not to retread old ground be rementioning them. Instead I thought I’d mention a brand that I’ve really grown to love this year:
Rhodia

Rhodia is well known for having great, fountain pen friendly paper, but I’d never been too interested in them because many of their more basic notebooks aren’t overly aesthetic. They have simple orange cardboard covers, spiral bindings (which isn’t always my favourite) and the Rhodia logo usually quite prominently displayed.
But I picked up two of their notebooks at a bargain price, and have been really enjoying using them. The first is a simple A5 spiral notebook with dotted paper that I’ve been drafting my blog posts in, and the second is a grid paper reverse book (so a square notebook) that I drafted my short stories in during my 30 Day Writing Challenge in November.
The paper is just so smooth to write on, and it displays the qualities of a lot of my inks nicely, and I’ve really come to love it! I may have to pick up one of their fancier notebooks to be my next journal!
My Top 3 Notebook Systems of 2025
This year I decided to add a separate category for notebooks systems, which I’m classifying as anything where you can move around the paper or inserts.
I’ve been a big fan of traveler’s notebooks for a while, but I also got into Filofax and ring planners this year, and wanted to give them a mention! So here’s my top 3:
1. Kayztyle A5 Traveler’s Notebook

This notebook is a very recent addition to my collection, as it was a Christmas gift, but it’s an immediate favourite because…well, look at it! It’s so stunning and colourful! I already know I like the quality of Kayztyle notebooks having bought a smaller one from the Northern Pen Show in April, so I know I’m going to love this one too!
2. Handstitched Leather T Trifold Notebook

I finally gave in to my longing for a trifold notebook in July and bought this beautiful pink leather one from an Etsy shop called Hand Stitched Leather T. I got it in the B6 size, with this gorgeous rose quartz charm and green elastic, and I just think this is a very me notebook!
Now that I’ve had it for a while I can report that the quality is really excellent, and it’s definitely withstanding some wear!
3. Filofax Malden Pear

I jumped headfirst into the world of Filofax this year, and now have three, but my Pear Malden is my absolute favourite. I just love the bright green colour and the soft, squishiness of the leather, and I’ve been enjoying using it as a media commonplace book.
My Top Notebook Cover of 2025
Next is my favourite notebook cover, and there can only be one winner…and it isn’t even technically a notebook cover, but a notebook cover-on-cover.

I was so excited when I saw Hobonichi were doing a Tamagotchi collab, as I’m a big Tamagotchi fan, but unfortunately I didn’t love the white background and overcrowded look of the actual Tamagotchi A5 cover. So instead I bought the Tamagotchi cover-on-cover and put it on an A5 Dreamy Soda cover I already had, and I’m absolutely obsessed with it! Plus it’s nice knowing I would be able to swap out the background colour if I ever got bored with the blue.
My Top Pencil of 2025

This year I bought two Blackwing pencils, the first of which I liked, the second of which I loved. It’s that second pencil that has to be my favourite of 2025: the Blackwing x Independent Booktores pencil, with firm lead.
I found myself liking the firm lead a lot better, and I adore the art deco style design. Not to mention I love books and independent bookshops!
My Top Pen Case of 2025
My top pen case of the year is actually the same as in 2024: the Lihit Lab Compact pen case.

Most of my stationery lives on my desk, which is where I use it, so I don’t have a huge amount of use for pen cases. But I do have this one in both green and red, which I use when travelling.
My Top Stationery Accessory of 2025

My top stationery accessory of the year is this cheap date stamp I bought off Amazon. I had no idea when I bought it that I’d love this thing so much, but I’ve had so much use out of it in my journals and notebooks! I wouldn’t be without it now.
So that wraps up my Stationery Favourites of 2025. I’d love to know what your stationery favourites of the year have been!
