Much like March, April was a slow month here on Inky Imaginings. I feel like I’ve had a busy couple of months, and whilst I’ve certainly been buying (too much!) stationery, I haven’t been using it or blogging about it as much as I’d have liked. So a lot of this post is just going to be ‘stuff I’ve bought but haven’t used much yet’ unfortunately, but I’m hoping to enjoy a slower May, and to get more time to write.
So as always, let’s talk about fountain pens first:
Fountain Pens

The main event of this month was the arrival of my first ever Esterbrook Estie: the CoffeeMonsterzCo collaboration pen. And wow, is this a stunning pen! As I spoke about in my review, I’m really enjoying using it so far, and am finding it really comfortable in hand for long writing sessions. And I’m still liking it combined with Diamine Golden Brown!

I’ve also been using the two new pens I got last month: the Opus 88 Koloro in Amber and the Benu Pixie Pocket in Plum Cream. Both of which still need reviews posting!
Notebooks
Despite technically being on a notebook buying ban (which was going quite badly anyway!) I’ve made two new notebook purchases this month that I’m really excited about.

First is this lilac, leather-look Filofax refillable notebook that I got for £9 from WHSmith. I think the ability to move around the pages and use dividers could be useful for so many things, although I’m currently planning to use it for project/novel planning. I could plan various projects simultaneously in this, and keep them separated, and add new pages to each section as and when required.

I also got a new traveler’s notebook this month, when visiting the Northern Pen Show (which I’ll also hopefully be blogging about soon!). This beautiful green TN is from Kayztyle, and is in the unusual ‘handy’ size, which is somewhere between a standard TN size, and passport. I’m excited to start using this throughout May to do some memory keeping collages!

Accessories and Other

Randomly this month I picked up a cheap date stamper from Amazon to use in my journal and memory keeping notebooks.

I also bought one of these cute, cozy colouring books that are big at the moment, and whilst I haven’t had much time to colour in it yet, I have completed one page, which I coloured in with the thin end of my Zebra Mildliners. I’ll probably mostly use coloured pencils in future, as Mildliners probably aren’t ideal for colouring, but it was quite a relaxing thing to do when it’s been such a busy month!
So how has your April been? What stationery have you bought, or used the most this past month?
